  • What are your candles made of?

Cat & Cricket Candle Co. scented candles are made with 100% all-natural soy wax -- no paraffin! We craft all of our candles with only premium fragrance oils and we utilize only eco-friendly cotton wicks or natural crackling wooden wicks... all sourced directly from the USA.

  • Why soy wax?

We use 100% soy wax in all of our candles because it is non-toxic, bio-degradable, provides a clean soot-free burn, contains no harmful chemicals, easily cleans up with soap and water, and is a natural & renewable resource.

  • Will these candles affect my allergies or cause migraines?

While we are attempting to craft our candles as non-toxic and clean-burning as possible there is always the chance that an individual may experience headaches, migraines, or an allergic reaction when burning a candle. So we suggest that you speak to your doctor or healthcare provider first if you have any personal health concerns before purchasing or burning any of our candles.

  • Where do you get your materials?

We try to source all of our materials from companies here in the United States.

  • Where are you candles made?

All of our candles are hand-poured in small batches and then hand-packaged and shipped from Olathe, Kansas. 

​

  • Do you have a store I can visit in-person?

At this time we do not have a brick-and-mortar store. However, we do sell select candles in some local businessess and you may occasionally run into us in person at some of our local Kansas City area craft fairs and holiday pop-ups.  You may read about some of our upcoming shows and find out more about our local partners here.

  • How long do your candles last?

As long as you keep the wick trimmed and only burn them for 3-4 hours at a time, our 8 oz. candle tin should burn approximately 35+ hours, our 8 oz. candle jar should last approximately 40+ hours, our 12 oz. glass jar should last approximately 55+ hours and our 16 oz. glass jars should last approximately 65+ hours.  Both of our tin and glass containers may be easily cleaned with soap and water and repurposed after use or recycled and discarded.   • Will you offer any discounts on large orders?

Yes! For more information on bulk pricing and quantity price breaks, contact us. Some examples of large orders we'd be happy to accommodate are:

  1. Candles for wedding favors

  2. Candles for baby showers, birthday parties, or other milestone events

  3. Candles for corporate events

  • Do you offer any personalization on your candles?

While we currently don't offer any candle personalization on our website we'd be happy to discuss the possibility. We are hoping to make this an option on our site in the near future.

  • I want to send my purchase as a gift. How do I do that?

When checking out please enter the name and address of the gift recipient in the appropriate shipping fields. You may also leave a gift message, (i.e. From: The Cricket Family. Happy Birthday!) in the optional "message" field at check-out. If you message us letting us know it's a gift we will make sure not to include a packing slip with prices; otherwise, packing lists are included with all orders.

  • Do you offer a discount or rewards program?

  • What types of payment do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards as well as payment via PayPal or AfterPay via our online checkout.

  • Can I resell these candles?

None of our Cat & Cricket candles (or any other product and/or accessory) may be resold without prior written permission. Any wholesale, private label, or white label orders for retail resale will require a written contract, approved by both parties, in advance. Please contact us directly at shop@catandcricketcandleco.com if you are interested in the possibility of placing our candles within your retail store.

  General Shipping Policies/Returns:

  • How quickly will my order ship and what are your shipping policies?

We make every effort to ship your orders as quickly as possible. In-stock candle orders should ship in approximately 24-72 hours after the order is placed. Pre-order candle orders may take anywhere from two to three weeks (or longer, depending) from the pre-order purchase date to be packaged and shipped. You will be advised within each item description if your candle is considered "in-stock" or a "pre-order" before you place your order.

Currently, all orders are shipped from Olathe, Kansas via USPS. Shipping costs start at $5.00+ and vary by order and destination. You will receive a tracking number for your order when it is fulfilled. All shipping costs are additional upon checkout unless stated in an applied promotion or site coupon. We do offer FREE Shipping on all U.S. Orders over $55+. (Free Shipping is only applicable on order totals of $55.00 USD AFTER any or all discounts and/or promo codes have been applied). Free shipping is automatically added to eligible orders of $55+ USD at checkout; no promo code necessary. To save shipping costs on larger or bulk orders we may, at our discretion, choose to ship via UPS Ground instead of USPS. If you need your order expedited or need next-day delivery please contact us BEFORE placing your order for alternate shipping options and additional costs. Shipping costs are subject to change, without notice, at any time.

 

We currently only ship within the United States. We do not offer International shipping at this time.

Our packages do not require a signature upon delivery; however, you may request this option upon check-out, although additional fees may apply. We also cannot be responsible for packages that were delivered to the wrong address, lost, or damaged during transit; however, we want to keep our customers happy so if for some reason you do not receive your package, or if it is severely damaged upon receipt, then please contact us immediately to discuss alternate options. We will neither accept any lost/damaged product inquiries that are 30 days past the original shipment date nor can we control the actual transit time once the package has left our hands. Transit/shipment times may take longer over the holidays and any such delays by the shipping company(s) are out of our control.

  • Do you accept returns?

While I understand it is very difficult to smell a candle online, we unfortunately  do not accept returns. We will make every honest effort to explain the fragrances used within our candles in our product descriptions. And while we may rely on and post customer feedback -- please note, everyone has a different sense of smell... so what may be a pleasant scent to one customer is not always a pleasant fragrance for another. If you are ever in doubt about what any of our soy fragrance candles smell like then please feel free to email us with your questions before completing your purchase. However, we do want to make you happy... so if you are completely dissatisfied with your new candle or if your candle is defective please contact us within five (5) days for alternate options on a possible candle exchange. Exchange of the same candle fragrance is not guaranteed and we have the right to deny all exchange requests. And as always, please stay safe by following all candle warnings and burning instructions.
